General Terms

1. What is Affiliate Marketing?

Affiliate Marketing is a method used to promote an Advertiser’s online business, in which an Affiliate (an individual or company unrelated to the Advertiser) may be rewarded for every visitor, subscriber, customer, lead, or sale generated for the Advertiser through that Affiliate’s efforts.

2. What is a CPA network?

A CPA Network connects Advertisers with Affiliates who will promote their offers on a Cost-Per-Action basis. Rather than paying up front for advertising space, the Advertiser only pays for a pre-defined action (customer lead created, sale completed, etc.) The Affiliate is paid for every one of those pre-defined actions they can generate for the Advertiser’s offer.

3. What is Cost Per Action?

A fee is paid by an advertiser for each customer delivered through some type of action, such as a click, a lead (e-mail address, etc.) a sign-up, or a sale of a product. Advertiser campaigns identify the type of action that must occur in order to generate a pay-out.

4. What is a Conversion Rate?
The conversion rate is based on the number of potential customers who viewed an advertiser's campaign verses the number of those customers who actually carried out the desired action (such as filling out a form, giving an e-mail address, purchasing a product, etc.). Advertisers look at the conversion rate to determine the quality of the traffic (potential customers) when determining pay-out.

5. What is an Advertiser?
An Advertiser is a company that markets a service or product on the Internet. Advertisers create campaigns or promotions that they wish to have marketed. Affiliates can promote Advertiser campaigns on or through their online media.

6. What is an Affiliate?
An affiliate (or publisher) is an individual who owns and operates some type of on-line media (website owner, search engine marketer, email marketer, newsletter publisher, etc.) that generates content, and who wishes to display advertisements with the intent of generating revenue for an advertiser as well as himself or herself.
