PUBLIC OFFERS vs PRIVATE OFFERS:

Posted by AdAngler in December 13th 2011

public offers private offers adangler PUBLIC OFFERS vs PRIVATE OFFERS:Today, I would like to talk about our public offers. There are surprisingly many hidden public offers within your affiliate platform, you only need to search to become successful at finding them. We do however cater to everyone by allowing all active affiliates the privilege to apply for our private offers. We have so many offer requests everyday which can be overwhelming and may sometimes take us a little longer than expected to review them all. With this being said I assure you we take every one of them seriously, we read your comments and review your account as well as your previous affiliate traffic. Your success at obtaining our private offers depends heavily on how you plan to promote these offers. Please don’t be offended if you are denied, some advertisers have very strict guidelines that we must follow to ensure the longevity of our business relationship and most importantly the longevity of the advertisers campaign shelf life within our company. The bottom line is if you want to run one or more of our private offers you must be upfront and honest about how you plan to promote the offer. We also recommend not asking for more than 3 private requests a day and clearly explain a game plan of how you intend to monetize each offer. By taking the time to explain yourself, you show us you have taken the time to read the offer’s description and restrictions, proving to us you won’t abuse our trust and the trust of our advertiser. We completely understand that most affiliates are fast paced. We certainly don’t want to slow anyone down, but we do have to look out for both our clients and our other affiliates’ best interests. Face it, losing an advertiser impacts every affiliate running the advertiser’s offers in our network and we have the responsibility to prevent such things from happening.

Another helpful tip when you’re applying for an offer, please list a website you own that will compliment our advertiser’s offer. Having a site that fits perfectly with an offer can be a key deciding factor and can increase the likelihood you’ll get access. Sometimes particular advertisers won’t take any risk of receiving bad leads and will only allow us to approve affiliates who have a proven quality track record with us. However, nothing is ever unobtainable! Another option is to provide us with an industry reference from another affiliate network. This will usually hold weight with our advertisers and allow us to open up the offer without the prior quality check on our end.

Our in-house quality check only requires that we see a small number of leads from valid, verifiable customers. This can be done on any of our public offers or you may have done this with another network and would like us to contact them for an industry reference. Taking the initiative to prove yourself to be an ethical marketer will, in fact, open many doors for you and will ultimately lead to success in your career goals.

We have highlighted some of the best converting public offers for you in your “Account Homepage“. These are found under the “Featured Offers” to the right of your affiliate interface. All of these offers are public and can be run immediately. If you do not see an offer you can do well with simply, reach out to your affiliate manager and I’m sure he or she can find you the perfect offer. Good luck and I hope this helped everyone get a better understanding of our network’s internal policies, and shed light on our determination and commitment to your success.

social media advertising Social Media Marketing Boosts Business ProfitsThe emergence of global marketplaces, social media marketing, social networking, affiliate marketing, and advanced communications technology have become the game-changers for how smaller businesses advertise. To stay current and competitive in today’s marketplace, smaller companies need more than just a site on the web or an ad in a publication. Companies ultimately need to focus on new hot trends such as social media marketing and online affiliate marketing. Customer bases are no longer just local, regional, national, or international. When looking to reach new customers, smaller businesses will need to expand their advertising to the “what” as well as the “where. Twitter is a popular resource for quick messaging, and has become the go-to outlet for national news media and the general public because of the speed in which information and breaking-news can be disseminated. This social media marketing advantage can be exploited by small businesses to alert customers to sales, short-lived promotions, and company news.  Twitter is a valuable asset to have for promoting new offers, contests, exclusive deals, and other tempting incentives to attract business and create a competitive social media marketing edge. Twitter is accessed through any Internet accessible device, including phones, iPods, PDAs, and computers.

LinkedIn is a smaller social media marketing platform, emerging outlet that is competing with Twitter, and may be worth a look by small businesses as well.

Affiliate Program Websites: Focused, Timely Content Impacts Ranking

Posted by AdAngler in November 18th 2010

website content duplicate content internet marketing search engine filters publishers affiliate networks unique content Affiliate Program Websites: Focused, Timely Content Impacts RankingA quick look at how your affiliate program websites rank among the world:

Affiliates are always looking for ways to produce high search ranking for their affiliate program websites. There are lots of tricks to pushing up affiliate program websites ranking, but maintaining that affiliate program websites ranking is a constant uphill slog. What is the most consistent and successful long term technique for a affiliate program website? Content is key. But not just any content. The web is flooded with generalized affiliate program websites content that is lost in the blur of similar information.

Affiliate managers, who review hundreds of publisher affiliate program websites, have a unique opportunity.

We see publisher affiliate program websites content that spans a wide spectrum of mundane and generic to the relevant and valuable. One thing we have discovered is that more is not always better when it comes to content. The best affiliate program websites are exclusively, and narrowly content specific, with rich keyword language. Affiliate program websites that display large amounts of wide-ranging content on a general topic, like health, diet, finance, education may be interesting to read, but must compete for ranking with a huge body of sites containing similar content. Affiliate program websites that have focused content from the general topic compete with fewer sites for ranking, and receive more targeted traffic.

Affiliate program websites with focused content are easier to successfully monetize.

This doesn’t mean that a site can’t benefit from a large amount of content, as long as that content is unique and focused to the narrow topic or product. Publishers can increase the content on their affiliate program websites while maintaining uniqueness by regularly updating the main content body with new information and offering opportunities for affiliate program website visitors/customers to comment.

getingoogle googlescorecard googlemapslisting cpanel get in google google scorecard score card google maps listing SEO Trouble? Get In Google, Google Score Card and Google Map ListingHas everyone seen the new SEO buttons in CPANEL, like Google Score Card maybe? If not let me let you in on some new technology that will most defiantly help raise your SEO (Search Engine Optimization) score with Google. The buttons I am talking about are Get In Google, Google Score Card and Google Map Listing. As an affiliate marketer these are very important links and can only help your new websites ranking. If you don’t have CPANEL with your current hosting company then you will have to do these add-ons manually or finding a website offering a free Google ranking with Google Score Card technology. So lets get started. Immediately after purchasing your domain, placing content and going live you will want to hit the “Get in Google” button located in the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) (Search Engine Optimization) Tools tab. Once clicked you will then need to select your website or websites from, in most cases, the long list of websites located on your server. Then hit “install” and your all set. What happens next is the magic. You will be listed within 24 hours of the install. I know what your thinking, there is no way. Adding a domain to Google manually usually took at least a week or two to do. Well welcome to the future my friends. Another great thing about this tool is if you already have a website listed in Google you can still re-add it to Google. The important thing about this is even more pages of your website will be listed guaranteed. So my advice to you is immediately after reading this article race over to your CPANEL and start adding all your sites to Google again. I assure you that you will notice and increase in your SEO (Search Engine Optimization) profits by the end of the week. And guess what Get in Google didn’t stop there, they also give you reports that show each page of your site that was indexed. This will most certainly give you the leg up on your competition. I urge all our affiliates to get this done as soon as you can.

The next great tool added is Google Score Card.

Google Score Card helps you meet all of Google’s guidelines for websites.

Google Score Card will increase your search traffic not only to Google but Yahoo and Bing as well.

Things that you may have missed like, anchor text in incoming links, missing links over time, author links in a site, the “freshness” of your website, key phrases, life span of links, website growth and distribution all factor into how Google ranks your website. The only way you can be ahead of everyone else and outrank the top site would to install Google Score Card ASAP. A quick rundown of the most key features Google Score Card will rate your website on are: Is your Keyword you wish to rank high on in Google searches contained in all three HTML heading tags. Example: H1, H2 and H3 tags. If so you just raised your score in Google Score Card. Next Google Score Card will rank your keyword density, meaning Google Score Card will want you to mention your keyword many times in your websites content. Google Score Card also suggests using bold, italics and underlining your keyword to help raise your Google Score Card SEO even higher. Even though Google Score Card has many other scoring criteria, these simple tips above will make the difference and keep you ahead of your competition.

E-Mail Marketing: Squeezing More Revenue From Established Web And Blog Sites

Posted by AdAngler in August 31st 2010

email e mail marketingsqueezing revenue established web blog sites E Mail Marketing: Squeezing More Revenue From Established Web And Blog SitesMany established website affiliate publishers and bloggers, interested in generating monetary benefits from their sites, readily and successfully select text advertising and banner advertising related or complementary to their site content or subject matter.

These are excellent venues for generating revenue; but many times, veteran publishers miss out on an opportunity to increase their revenue stream through other forms of effective marketing, such as e-mail marketing.

Successful, established websites and blogs attract loyal followers through search engine keyword ranking, word-of-mouth, and various advertising techniques.
By incorporating elements of e-mail marketing, publishers and bloggers can expand their audience and provide added service to their existing viewers.

Many website affiliate marketers shy away from e-mail marketing because they know few e-mail gathering techniques or are worried about the regulations involved.
With a little extra effort,  publishers and bloggers have a lot of opportunities for collecting targeted email addresses from followers who really want to hear from them.
Site publishers and bloggers who work with Affiliate Networks can get help and tips from their Affiliate Managers. It in imperative that affiliates contact their affiliate managers before running any Network campaigns through e-mail marketing, as most Advertisers have additional terms and conditions.

There are two main challenges publishers and bloggers need to focus on in order to successfully incorporate an e-mail marketing element: generating a targeted list of emails and maintaining an opt-in/opt-out list.

Generating a targeted email list can be accomplished gradually through changes to your site’s format and by adding additional services and components.
Setting up a signup/login procedure for returning site visitors, adding a forum to the site to allow visitors to share their views about site content, and creating a site newsletter that focuses on your content area, related topics, and products/services your site advertises are great ways to generate a targeted email list. Including an RSS feed and social networking links (think Twitter and Facebook) can also extend your audience reach.

While many e-mail marketing professionals suggest including a few survey questions with a sign-up form in order to target visitors’ preferences, we find that making the sign-up  procedure short and simple for visitors to leave their e-mail addresses on your site makes them more inclined to do so. Your readers and visitors will want to know that their email addresses are being kept secure and are not being sold, so make sure to include information concerning this.

Generating and maintaining a current opt-in/opt-out list is a vital part of any e-mail marketing component. Make sure the opt-in form is prominently and clearly displayed on your site. It will be crucial to ensure that all users who may wish to subscribe to your newsletter, RSS feed, etc. complete a double opt-in procedure.
To accomplish this, follow up a subscriber’s initial signup (this is the single opt-in part) with an email from you asking them to confirm that they subscribed (this is the second or double opt-in part). In the email you can provide a link that can be clicked that will insure that you receive the second opt-in.

The other vital component is to maintain an opt-out or unsubscribe list of emails from viewers who no longer wish to receive your newsletter, news feed. etc. This can be accomplished by including on your site, newsletter, etc. a clearly displayed e-mail address that the viewer can use to send their opt-out request.

You are required to keep documentation of each viewer’s double opt-in confirmation and any opt-out requests in order to comply with Can Spam laws. Affiliates of Affiliate Networks can obtain a suppression list, which is a list of addresses that have already opted-out of any in-house email marketing campaigns.

Website affiliate publishers and bloggers with well established sites and visitors should not be afraid to venture into e-mail marketing. Building a targeted email list of potential buyers you can market to can be had by simply tweaking your sites to include email address signup opportunities for your loyal readers.

Unique Website Content And Affiliate Marketing Success

Posted by AdAngler in July 29th 2010

website content duplicate content internet marketing search engine filters publishers affiliate networks unique content Unique Website Content And Affiliate Marketing SuccessIn the field of affiliate marketing, as in all aspects of advertising, uniqueness almost always spells success. Uniqueness is especially critical in the area of website content. Publishers who wish to produce monetary incentives for their sites by incorporating ads need to be especially cognizant of the uniqueness of their site content. The name of the game in website affiliate marketing is exposure; that is, ranking relevant enough by search engines to be placed favorably in search results. Nothing kills relevance like duplicate website content.

So what constitutes duplicate content in the “eyes” of most search engine filters? As it relates to Internet marketing publishers, scraped content seems to be the most prevalent reason for poor search engine ranking. Scraped content is the direct, word-for-word copying of another, existing website’s copy. While some publishers may feel that including scraped content allows them to broaden the information quality and quantity they can make available to their site visitors, it can actually filter out their site as possible spam by the search engines, thus preventing the site from ranking favorably. Including scraped content also may expose the publisher to copyright issues. Most affiliate networks and companies with affiliate programs hesitate to work with and will terminate publishers who maintain websites that have suspected, scraped content.

Building a website with unique content takes time. But publishers who invest that time will have a solid platform from which to increase their site exposure and traffic, making the marketing of ads more successful.

Advertising and Internet Marketing Potential From Internationalized Top Level Domain Names

Posted by AdAngler in June 30th 2010

icann adangler domain chinese Advertising and Internet Marketing Potential From Internationalized Top Level Domain NamesThis month has seen some intriguing new developments in the area of top level domain registry that have impact for Internet marketers, as well as advertisers, service providers, mobile marketers, and software and web designers. One development in particular stands out. ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers), the not-for-profit organization that manages the Internet domain name and IP address system, has approved the inclusion of Chinese characters in the final dot portion of top level domain names, allowing the use of Chinese characters for the entire domain name. In the past, only the first part of a domain name could include Chinese characters. Country codes were written using “latin” letters. While the inclusion into the registry of “internationalized” domain names has been occurring for some time now, it has only been recently that ICANN has allowed the country code top level domain portion of a domain name to be written in the alphabet script of individual countries. Earlier this year permission to develop country-code top-level domain names in their own script was given to Russia, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt. A large number of other Middle Eastern and Asian countries have applied to ICANN to have “internationalized” domain names using their language script, as well.

The internationalizing of domain names, using other language alphabet scripts, will impact the way Internet marketer’s reach international local markets. Through the use of localized search and indexing, advertisers catering to specific local markets and consumers, and the marketers who promote them, will be able to direct and pinpoint their campaign efforts more accurately. Untapped markets will emerge, where previously, access was limited by the lack of English proficiency. The learning curve for advertisers and marketers will be substantial, especially those who do business primarily in the US and use only English. While there will need to be a change in the way companies approach advertising to take into account cultural mores of various local markets, advertisers and marketers who take advantage of the potential that “internationalized” local TLDs  have to offer will no doubt find opportunities to expand their business and revenue.

Marketing on Social Network Sites: Positives and Concerns

Posted by AdAngler in May 21st 2010

social media advertising Marketing on Social Network Sites: Positives and ConcernsAdvertising on social network sites, such as Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, etc., has always been a unique proposition for publishers and web marketers. One the one hand, the social network format, in which participants display their demographics, interests, and preferences as well as those of their “friends”, provides a perfect opportunity to connect marketers to targeted consumers. The format establishes a platform for both consumer and brand marketer to commune, as it were. Fan pages allow the marketer’s customers to share their brand experiences, and community pages open up customer demographics and interests to a wider, connected group.  The marketer  and consumer participating in the same community, building relationships that benefit the marketer’s products and the consumer’s needs and interests, and generally creating a mutual engagement to generate brand value all sounds like marketing Utopia.

On the other hand, social network marketing comes with a number of disadvantages or snags for Internet and brand marketers that are not usually found with online marketing.  While social network participation is rapidly growing, the online search engine format continues to garner the largest market for attracting targeted customers. Additionally, many of the current social networks have decided to limit the scope and kind of advertising that is permitted on their sites. Oppressive Terms and Conditions, limiting or prohibiting direct response, email, and affiliate marketing, and generally providing little support and customer services to interested marketers discourages participation.

While there are potential monetary benefits to marketers to consider advertising on social network sites, the disadvantages seem to suggest that it is still a bit risky to devote a larger portion of one’s ad budget to this medium.

Recent Tech Advances

Posted by AdAngler in April 30th 2010

iad apple ads iphone advertising mobile advertising apple advertising platform developers revenue Recent Tech AdvancesRecent Tech Advances: Possible Increased Profit Potential for Internet Advertisers, Networks, and Web Marketers

Some recent advances in products and technologies have the potential to expand  the online advertising market, to allow mobile platform ads to be more interactive and interesting for consumers, and to make ad placement easier for advertisers, networks, and website publishers.

One such advance is  Apple’s new ad platform, iAd, which launched recently. This long awaited and much anticipated platform has Internet marketers scrambling to figure out ways to utilize it to generate ad revenue. While the addition of this ad platform opens up a larger mobile market (aka: iPhone mobile phone users) to advertisers, most advertisers still find a larger customer base through conventional PC  based online advertising. The fact that iAd is based on apps used only with iPhones limits the reach of an advertiser’s campaign. The look of ads placed on this platform will be much improved, which is sure to increase consumer interest, since Apple promises that ads could be interactive and contain full screen video.  As yet to be tackled is the need for consistent and standardized analytics and metric tracking. But that seems to be a concern for all online advertising formats.

With the launch of Apple’s new iPad, the issue of sizing internet advertising to fit a variety of mediums is again visited by networks and website owners. A recent advance comes in the form of software that is designed to resize any ad to fit any website space. This software is to be showcased in April at the 2010 World Wide Web Conference in Raleigh by Parham Aarabi of University of Toronto’s Electrical and Computer Engineering Department. The new software and technology significantly removes size restrictions and increases potential placement options for ads appearing on unique formats such as Internet-based phones, readers (such as the iPad), and conventional PC based websites. The ability to “conform ads to any available website space” and to accomplish this through an automatic process will save Internet marketers, ad designers, advertisers, and affiliate publishers valuable time, utilize website space more economically, and create a more dynamic look to the ads. It will allow ads to be produced in one size, and then be reformed into any size and resolution needed for all types of presentation formats or platforms.

These new advances have the potential to streamline the advertising process, create consumer interest in advertiser campaigns, and increase profits for every tier of Internet marketing.

Twitter Promoted Ads. A New Proprietary Platform. Will The Wait Be Worth It?

Posted by AdAngler in March 31st 2010

twitter ads advertising ad angler make money on twitter ppc network Twitter Promoted Ads. A New Proprietary Platform. Will The Wait Be Worth It?The launch date for Twitter’s proposed new Ad Platform called Twitter Promoted Products or Twitter Promoted Ads is supposedly nearing.

Mobile marketers, as well as marketing networks, are anxious to see if Twitter Promoted Products Platform will actually be “fascinating” and “non-traditional” as described by Twitter’s Chief Operating Officer, Dick Costolo , and how Twitter Promoted Ads will impact advertisers, marketers, and, especially, Twitter users.

The buzz is that Twitter’s model, the Twitter Promoted Ads may mirror the search ad strategy used by Google (Adsense and AdWords models).

While Twitter Promoted Ads would widen the advertising market for advertisers and marketers and offer the capitalization Twitter Promoted Ads is hoping for, it would definitely not suggest the innovation, of which Costolo alluded.  Likewise, Twitter users may find Twitter Promoted Ads format similar to Google’s to be an irritation instead of a motivation, especially if Twitter Promoted Ads are interrupting conversation/communication flow. Still, the social media search ad strategy would look like the easiest format to accomplish. If Twitter Promoted Ads is being true to their word about bringing an innovative product, a more likely model might be something similar to the elusive mobile ad platform soon to be introduced by Apple.

Only time will tell, and neither Apple nor Twitter seem to be in any hurry to enlighten the marketing world.

It should be an interesting April for publishers and the marketing community with the raise of Twitter Promoted Ads.
